Chef Wilhelm was born in Erlangen Germany and graduated from the Culinary Institute of Nuremberg. He is very well known in the Naples area. He most recently was the Executive Chef for Bay Colony Golf Club from 2004 to 2018 and also served as Executive Chef for The Club at Mediterra from 2000 to 2004. Chef Wilhelm held the position of Corporate Chef for Culinary Concepts which consists of Pazzo Italian Grill, Chops City Grill and Yabba prior to serving at Mediterra. Wilhelm has also created his very own cookbook while working at Bay Colony. Chef Wilhelm has earned numerous culinary awards throughout his career. He was awarded the four Golden Spoon Award for the ten best restaurants in Florida along with the prestigious AAA four diamond award. He is recognized by the James Beard Foundation and was featured on Discovery Channels “Great Chefs of the South” and CNN’s food show, “On the Menu”. He has also made many guest appearances on local television food shows. Recently he was voted Culinarian of the Year for 2015 and 2016. Wilhelm’s earlier career includes mentoring and experience from some of the best restaurants and hotels in Europe including the Restaurant La Fattoria in Milan, Fairmont Hotel in Monte Carlo and Hotel Bayrischer Hof in Munich Germany. Chef Wilhelm is an excellent mentor and has helped many of his up and coming staff grow into executive chef positions around Florida and the world. He is excited to join Naples Lakes and introduce new and innovative menus, cooking classes and sensational special events.
